9 Months

My little Kaylee bug is 9 months old! She weighs 18 pounds and is 28 inches long. I looked back to compare her to Connor and at 9 months he was 17 pounds and 29 inches long. They are actually pretty close, she just looks a lot chunkier! Her first word was mama (even though clay hasn't heard her say it yet)! She is a feisty, fun, cuddly, love to giggle ball of joy! I know I've said it before but she is such a good baby! And such a happy baby! She's eating solids twice a day and taking 6 ounces of formula four times a day. She doesn't like any textured foods yet and still doesn't have any teeth. Her favorite place to crawl is in my closet to play with my shoes. She loves to follow Connor around and try to grab at whatever toy he's playing with. Her eyes light up whenever he's around!

Kaylee Got Her Ears Pierced

We took Kaylee to get her ears pierced last night! Clay was a little hesitant but I've been saying I wanted to do it for the past 3 months. I scouted out who I would feel comfortable piercing them. I met every person who worked there and finally settled on the manger of the store. She's been piercing ears for years and was super patient and answered all of my many questions. She said Kaylee was probably the best baby she's ever done. Kaylee did great! She didn't even flinch on the first ear, but the second ear she did cry. She only cried for like 3 seconds though and then she was fine. I think the sound scared her more than anything. She slept all night and was her normal smiling self this morning. She hasn't even tried to touch them or even act like she knows they are there. She looks adorable! I'm so glad we went ahead and got them done!
